What is Seven?
If you're married or single, in business or in college, come experience Seven, a brand-new service just for you. Seven is led by Pastor Preston Morrison and meets every Tuesday night at 7:15 pm. It's your opportunity to receive life-changing teaching and engage in passionate worship while experiencing life together with other young adults.
Why do we call it Seven?
It's not because we meet at 7. It's not because the ministry began in '07 ... and it's not because only 7 people come to the service. It's because you are Seven.
When the church first began to emerge and explode, the Bible says:
Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said,
"It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve
tables. Therefore ... seek out from among you seven men of good
reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint
over this business ...." And the saying pleased the whole multitude ...
and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them. Then the word of
God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in
Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Acts 6:2-7
Just like those seven, we are called to administrate our Father's business. We are called to make disciples, not just believers. We are called to do something. Why? Because we are the Seven.
Just like life's not all about you, Seven's not all about you. It's all about God and His kingdom. Everything God's given you is meant to be given to others (Matthew 10:5-8). He doesn't want us to simply learn; He wants us to share what we learn with those around us who are searching for the truth.
Seven isn't just a place to sing, laugh, cry, hear a message or be entertained. Seven is a place where people do something for God. It's a place that reflects all that goes on in God's kingdom. It's a place where we can experience life together.
